I’m Teena Johny, Academic Coordinator for Lower Secondary at Empyrean School, where I’ve had the privilege of growing, learning, and evolving since our inception in 2017. With a Master’s in Education and English, I’ve leveraged my expertise to drive my career forward, navigating a dynamic journey that spans over 15 years of corporate experience and a decade in education.
As a teacher, teacher trainer, and academic leader, I’ve mastered the art of role-hopping, with a few impressive leaps along the way, from teaching in the classroom to leading as Head of Department for Math, and now as Academic Coordinator. Along the way, I’ve developed a knack for finding creative solutions to complex problems, a love for analyzing data to tell stories, and a fair for writing that comes in handy when crafting documents that communicate our vision.
Quick wit, quicker learning – that’s my superhuman combo, I thrive in environments that demand adaptability and creativity. When I’m not working, you can find me curled up with a good book, planning my next adventure, or singing off-key and mangling the lyrics.
As part of the Empyrean family, I’m dedicated to helping our students grow into compassionate, curious, and creative individuals who are equipped to navigate the complexities of our ever-changing world.
