Learning Through Discovery and Joy

At Empyrean, the early years of education are a time of wonder and discovery. Our Pre-Primary Curriculum is built on the tenets of play-based learning and Jean Piaget’s theory on the Stages of Cognitive Development. We believe that play is the heart of joyful learning, where hands-on experiences foster symbolic play, active exploration, and a deep sense of curiosity. Through these playful interactions, children develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills.

Our theme-based curriculum is designed around
the following six developmental domains:

Edit Content

Personal, Social, and Emotional Development – Helps children understand themselves, build relationships, and manage emotions, fostering well-being, social skills, and a strong sense of integrity.

Edit Content

Physical Development – Focuses on motor skills, strength, and overall health, supporting daily activities and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

Edit Content

Communication, Language, and Literacy – Develops speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, helping children think critically and express themselves effectively.

Edit Content

Mathematical Development – Builds essential skills like counting, sorting, and measuring, laying the foundation for problem-solving and understanding math concepts.

Edit Content

Aesthetic and Creative Development – Encourages creativity and appreciation for art and culture, helping children connect with different traditions and express their identity.

Edit Content

Positive Learning and Environmental Awareness – Cultivates curiosity, respect for diversity, and care, helping children understand the world and their role in it.

These domains work together in a  transdisciplinary approach, combining different subjects into connected learning experiences.
This teaches our learners to apply their knowledge across various contexts, making learning more meaningful and relevant. We
believe this holistic approach lays a strong foundation for future learning.
